Waichin Valley is situated a little in isolation near Malana village, Himachal Pradesh.
The valley peacefully resides in an abode of untouched nature, tranquility and lovely Himalayan mountains. This village is a less populated one, and is one of the less explored villages near Parvati valley if compared with Malana, Kasol, Tosh, etc. The trek is not a difficult one, its basically a scenic hike from Malana Dam for 4 kms along the stream and through Deodar trees into this beautiful valley of Waichin with fewer houses, some villagers and your camp amidst all this. You will also find Marijuana plants in plenty here.
Trek/hike starts from Malana Dam.
You can reach here from Jari. Jari falls between Bhuntar and Kasol. You may catch the bus from Jari to Malana at 8 AM or taxis are available all the time. It’s around 2 hours to Malana Dam.
We may choose to start the day early or a little late. However, rising early around sunrise is a great beginning. Today we explore the village and meet some local families. We can also observe a Marijuana Plant up close.
Post lunch we hike down to Malana Dam and we make sure that we havent left any plastic behind. This place has filled your heart with its beauty and the simple and sustainable living of the villagers.
You can catch the last bus from Malana Dam at Nerang that leaves at 5 PM or you may opt for cabs/taxis. You will reach Jari in 2 Hrs and from there you may find transport for your onward journey.
