Gather in Rsihikesh by 8am. After a small brief, we take a drive towards Joshimath, the starting point of the trek. The route takes you along the Ganga and Alaknanda Rivers, passing through Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag, famous for their stunning river confluences. Arrive in Joshimath, by sunset, a charming mountain town and the base for many Himalayan treks. Overnight stay in a guesthouse/hotel.

Day 2Joshimath to Dhak village drive (12kms, 45 min) ; Trek to Gulling (5kms, 3-4hours)

Today’s trek to Gulling begins with a moderate ascent through terraced farms and small mountain hamlets.  As you ascend, Mt. Dronagiri comes into view, offering a glimpse of the grandeur that awaits. The trail passes through rhododendron and oak forests, turning vibrant red in spring (April-June); expect a little snow in winter (Feb- March). Arrive at Gulling campsite, a peaceful spot surrounded by forests with breathtaking mountain views. Overnight stay in tents at Gulling.

Day 3Gulling to Tali Forest Camp

Today’s 6 km trek takes around 4–5 hours and gradually ascends through thick alpine forests. The trail is particularly scenic, offering panoramic views of Nanda Devi, Mt. Dronagiri, and Hathi Ghoda Peaks. In winter (Feb–April), expect snow patches along the trail, adding a mystical charm to the journey. Reach Tali Forest Camp, a serene high-altitude campsite surrounded by towering oak and rhododendron trees. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the Himalayan ranges before settling in for the night. Overnight stay in tents at Tali Forest Camp.

Day 4Trek from Tali to Kuari Pass & Return to Tali Camp (9kms, 8-10hrs round trip)

The most exciting day of the trek! This stretch takes you to the highest point – Kuari Pass (12,516 ft). Start with a gentle ascent to Tali Lake, a pristine high-altitude lake reflecting the surrounding peaks. The trail then opens up into rolling meadows before leading to a ridge climb offering a stunning 360° view of the Himalayan giants, including:
Nanda Devi (25,643 ft) – India’s second-highest peak
Mt. Kamet, Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Hathi-Ghoda Peaks, and more!
Standing atop Kuari Pass at 12,500 ft, you are greeted by an unbroken panorama of snow-capped peaks stretching across the horizon. The wind carries a crisp chill, and the vast expanse of valleys and ridges unfolds beneath you. After spending sometime, start your descend. Return to Tali Forest Camp for the sunset, retracing your steps through the picturesque landscape. Overnight stay in tents at Tali.

Day 5Descend from Tali to Dhak (8kms, 4-5hrs) & Drive to Joshimath (12kms, 45 min)

Overnight stay in a hotel/guesthouse in Joshimath.
