Udaipur, best known as the city of lakes is a preferred romantic destination across the world. This iconic city is surrounded by seven lakes and boasts of ancient palaces, historic forts, museums, temples, gardens and what not!
What makes Udaipur more scenic is the overspread of the oldest Aravali hills and its forests throughout the entire city. These hills also used to act as a protective shield against the enemies in the ancient times. Udaipur city is a jewel of Rajasthan, India and is seen into its rich glory of Mewar culture and traditions, as once it acted as the Capital of Mewar Kingdom.
One of the top sightseeing attractions is City Palace which is a royal residence, a huge monumental complex with 11 palaces, several courtyards and gardens taking you straight back in the history.
Udaipur also offers one of the finest luxurious stays in ancient palaces which are now functional as heritage hotels. Among them is Oberol Udai Villas which stands tall in the middle of the lake since 200 years. There are several other heritage lavish stays in the city.

One may also take one day road trip from Udaipur to the second largest fort of India that is Kumbhalgarh Fort whose walls extend to as long as 36kms and offers an unforgettable scene to behold.
Near to Kumbhalgarh, there is Ranakpur offering another astounding experience of magnificent temples with literally jaw dropping architecture. Then there is Mount Abu, a nearby hill station that many tourist like to add it to their itineraries.
Overall, Udaipur is a must visit destination and speaks loud on why is it loved from people across the globe.
How to reach Basecamp?
Our base camp is Shitkadi, a small village in Sonamarg. Shitkadi is accessible via road and is 2-3hrs from Srinagar. Shared cabs are available on this route on regular intervals. Cabs can also be arranged through us on request. Our campsite in Shitkadi is a beautiful place and participants are expected to reach there after lunch.
Pick up and drop to hotel. Freshen up & start your day with boating in the huge Lake Pichola. This boating ride gives an experience of glorious Udaipur city on the banks of huge lakes. Next Visit Jagdish temple, City palace & Nehru park island by sunset. In evening, take a stroll at Fateh Sagar in the heart of Udaipur with snacks and coffee along the lake. Night stay in Udaipur.

After breakfast, take a drive of 3hrs to Ranakpur, whicain temples. Afterwards visit Great Wall of Kumbhalgarh. This majestic fort stand on a huge line of old walls is the birthplace of Maharana Pratap. Drive to nearby The views from walls of Kumbhalagarh are extravagant and marvelous. Come back to Udaipur by evening, if time permits visit Sajjangarh during sunset. Spend your time in beautiful cafes around Fateh Sagar. Night Stay in Udaipur.

After breakfast, visit Saheliyon ki baari, experience ropeway to the hilltop temple of Karni temple & witness Vintage Classic Car museum. Afterwards take a drive to Mt abu (3hrs). Reach Mt Abu by sunset & you may choose to spend it at sunset point. Night Stay at Mt Abu.

After breakfast, visit the most spectacular Dilwara temple. Spend time in the vast temple with beautiful ancient carvings. Later on visit Gaumukh- the mysterious waterfall coming from inside earth. And then take a return drive to Udaipur. By evening, take a drop at station/bus stand/ airport.

Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean. A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia.
